What are the short-term and long-term effects of restart­ing and clos­ing schools? For exam­ple, what are the imme­di­ate achieve­ment effects on stu­dents who attend schools that are restart­ed under new man­age­ment or closed? What are the long-term ben­e­fits for these and future groups of stu­dents from attend­ing schools that may be high­er performing?
