Tanya Lewis
Founder and CEO, Ops360
Tanya Lewis is the Founder and CEO of Ops360, a non-profit organization that trains leaders and non-instructional staff to establish, grow and scale operations for schools dedicated to closing the achievement gap. She is the former Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for ARISE Schools, a New Orleans charter network operating two schools serving over 900 students in K-7th grade. Tanya was on the founding team for ARISE’s first school in 2009 and served as the Director of Finance and Operations and Assistant Principal for 4 years. In this role, Tanya gained an intimate understanding of what it takes to create effective operations and an optimistic culture that supports rigorous academics.
Tanya leads operations and finance training sessions for charter applicants, consults with school teams on finance and operations projects and strategic planning and coaches new principals and leaders on school operations designs. Before her transition to the charter world, Tanya worked in higher education in enrollment management, facilities, operations, and finance for 9 years. She has a B.S. in Physics from Grambling State University and an MBA in Finance from the University of New Orleans.
As the leader of Ops360, Tanya designs cohort-based programs that ensure finance and operations leaders are appropriately trained for their critical roles. Tanya believes that a well-trained finance and operations leader can help a school leader focus on improving student outcomes. Ops360 operates cohorts in Greater New Orleans and Memphis, TN.
