David Arsen is a professor of Education Policy and Educational Administration in the College of Education at Michigan State University. His research interests focus school finance, the competitive effects of school choice policies and urban school governance.
He recently served on the Coalition for the Future of Detroit Schoolchildren which advanced recommendations requested by the governor on the design of portfolio management and other policies for the city’s schools.
