ERA's research on the post-Katrina reforms was highlighted in a news program by Louisiana Public Broadcasting and shaped the conversation during an online event hosted by the Blanco Center at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Dur­ing the month of Octo­ber, ERA’s research and team have been at the cen­ter of local media cov­er­age and events. 

Our cen­ter’s Direc­tor Dou­glas Har­ris par­tic­i­pat­ed in the ​Katrina For­ward series
at the Blan­co Pub­lic Pol­i­cy Cen­ter at Uni­ver­si­ty of Louisiana at Lafayette. In con­ver­sa­tion with Steven Barnes, he pre­sent­ed on the 20-year impact of Hur­ri­cane Kat­ri­na on edu­ca­tion in New Orleans, draw­ing from ERA’s body of research and land­mark key con­clu­sion report. Asso­ciate Direc­tor for Research Jamie M. Car­roll was fea­tured in ​Louisiana the State We’re In​, a pro­gram by Louisiana Pub­lic Broad­cast­ing. Jamie spoke with Karen LeBlanc about the post-Kat­ri­na edu­ca­tion reforms and how New Orleans is doing 20 years after Kat­ri­na dev­as­tat­ed the city.
