ERA-New Orleans is growing. Come join our team.
Based at Tulane University, we are one of the most widely cited sources for research on the New Orleans school reforms and school choice broadly. With our focus on objective, rigorous, and useful analysis, our work has a real impact on local and national policy conversations. Ultimately, our hope is to improve the quality and equity of education experiences for all students. To accomplish these goals, we are looking for excellent candidates to be the next Communications Manager for both ERA-New Orleans and our partner center, the National Center for Research on Education Access and Choice (REACH).
As a research organization, how we communicate our results is central. Through our partners, the community, and media, we communicate in a growing number of ways: policy briefs summarizing the conclusions and implications of our work, research presentations for practitioners, small-group meetings with educators, and release events for our reports. We are looking for a communications professional to organize and lead meetings with partners, compose and edit reports and other external communications, manage our media presence (including web sites, Twitter feeds, and Facebook pages), and generally help communicate our research findings so they are useful to policymakers, practitioners, and the community.
As an organization, we are committed to addressing systemic racism and are working with our team and board to reflect on our mission, identify concrete steps we can take, and communicate our plan of action to the community.
We are an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building and maintaining a diverse team and inclusive workplace that values equity. We strongly encourage applications from BIPOC, immigrants, women, and LGBTQ candidates. Click here for more information and the online application.
