Join Our Advisory Board in 2027

The Education Research Alliance for New Orleans (ERA-New Orleans) conducts independent research to help inform decisions about public education in New Orleans. Our Advisory Board plays an important role by helping identify and prioritize the research questions our team studies.

We are seeking Orleans Parish community members to join the Advisory Board starting in January 2027 and help shape the future of public education in New Orleans. We welcome individuals who can bring their experiences and perspectives as stakeholders in the public school system.

Positions Open in 2027

This fall we will be recruiting individuals to fill the following Advisory Board representative positions:

- Parent Representative

- Teacher Representative

- School Leader Representative

- Community Member Representative

- University Representative

What Advisory Board Members Do

Board members serve a two-year term and are expected to:

- Attend quarterly meetings to discuss and vote on research priorities

- Review research before it is publicly released

- Share ERA-New Orleans research within their networks and communities

Eligibility

Applicants must be Orleans Parish community members at the time of application. Applicants for the University Representative position should be affiliated with a college or university.
