Denise Woltering Vargas is an Associate Director for Operations, Finance and Communications.

Denise Woltering Vargas is Associate Director for Operations, Finance and Communications. Denise has an extensive background with over 15 years of experience in higher education and program management. She manages all grants, sponsored projects, plus their fiscal management and compliance, and oversees media initiatives. Before joining the Education Research Alliance, Denise worked in Latin American Studies where she created professional development programs for K-12 educators across the U.S. to internationalize the curriculum. In addition, she has over five years experience teaching and designing the curriculum for a pre-certification undergraduate course, Education in a Diverse Society where she incorporated the research from both ERA and REACH. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Tulane University - and a Master of Arts in International Communication from American University.
