Jill Zimmerman is Executive Director of Planning at the Louisiana Recovery School District. Jill oversees the core portfolio planning functions for the RSD in New Orleans, including managing the RSD’s school closure and replacement strategy. In the 2014-15 school year, Jill developed and managed a new public process to match high-quality charter operators to four transformation sites. Prior to joining the Department, Jill served as Senior Research Analyst leading policy and research at the Scott S. Cowen Institute for Public Education Initiatives at Tulane University. Jill has a Bachelor's degree from Tulane University and a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of New Orleans.
