Patrick Sims, Senior Policy Analyst at the Cowen Institute at Tulane, will present their 2015 State of Public Education in New Orleans (SPENO) report. This will be followed by a brief panel discussion with two of New Orleans’ foremost public education leaders and robust audience Q&A. For those less familiar with the New Orleans system, this will provide a useful introduction. Some questions that will be addressed are: How does the New Orleans’ school system work? How has that changed over time? What are the greatest challenges facing the system of schools? What will happen over the next ten years?
